HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR COUNTRY?



 News is the communication of selected information on current events which is presented by print, broadcast, Internet, or word of mouth to a third-party or mass audience.Many people neglect the news and are unaware of what is going on in the world around them. This is a large mistake. A good understanding of current affairs is very crucial. News is a very important aspect in a person’s life; it gives information on things that are happening around you and around the world. It is also important because it helps in day to day dealings with the information it breeds ranging from politics, sports, business and lifestyle.


Nationalnews is also very important for conversation. If something big has happened in the news then this is a sure fire way to spark up a conversation with someone where there might otherwise have been an awkward silence. At the same time in a group of people talking about the national news you wouldn’t  want to be the only one who isn’t aware of what’s going on as this can make you feel very isolated and out of touch.


One should always be aware about events taking place in different countries. Knowing the basic information about a country like its capital and its Presidents name holds great importance as it comes under general knowledge. Strong GK skills will help a person professionally and otherwise too. One should be well revised about all countries but should not neglect his own. International news is an important aspect but national news holds greater relevance for an individual. The proud feeling of being well educated about your own country and staying loyal to it is out of the world. New like Indian sports, Indian politics come under national news. Its main focus in to deal with the Indian audience. National news holds more importance for a person as it affects him indirectly or even directly at times. The earlier you hear or see the news, the better it gets for you. It totally depends on a person how he uses a piece of important news for his benefit.

If a person wants to stay up to date with the news but struggles to find the time, new media technologies are now allowing many new methods to get quick and specific news updates. Many online newspapers like Hindu and Times of India provide daily news on current affairs so that people can stay revised. There’s really no excuse left for not knowing what’s going on in your country.
